Cindy Revell is an illustrator and fine artist. She received her graphic design diploma and worked as a designer and illustrator for several years before going on to become a freelance illustrator whose work has been published on billboards, wine bottles, books, magazines and calendars, furniture, packaging, and children's books all over North America. In addition to several illustration awards Cindy was shortlisted for a Governor General's award for children's book illustration. Some clients are: Disney, L.A. Times, Washington Post, Harvard Business Review, Better Homes and Gardens, Cornell University, Penguin Putnam, and Scholastic. Cindy is also an oil painter who paints a variety of subject matter but has a special connection to still life. “It’s subject matter resonates with me for it’s symbolism, it’s place in our lives, connection to the natural world, or sometimes simply for it’s sheer beauty or humour. “ Her paintings are in public, corporate, and private collections in Canada and the US and have been in numerous juried exhibitions and a traveling museum exhibition. The oil paintings and illustrations differ stylistically but share rich colour, a sense of vibrancy, and frequently humour. Cindy is represented by illustration agent Deborah Wolfe Ltd. of Philadelphia. Her work can be seen at the Daffodil Gallery in Edmonton, Alberta and the Candler Art Gallery in Camrose, Alberta. She is a member of the Oil Painters of America, Alberta Oil Painters and a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. |
